Dr. DAVID WALLACE-HARE

Co-Founder & Co-Director

Dr. David Wallace-Hare is passionate about financial inclusion and creating meaningful solutions for Muslim nonprofits. With an MSc in Charity Marketing & Fundraising from Bayes Business School, his work focused on tackling greenwashing in the third sector using Islamic finance principles. This early research sparked his commitment to helping nonprofits align their financial practices with their values.

David also holds a certificate from INCEIF (International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance), specializing in Islamic finance product development for nonprofits. This qualification has been pivotal in shaping his understanding of how tailored, faith-aligned financial solutions can address the challenges Muslim charities face, including debanking and financial exclusion.

With a strong academic background, including postdoctoral research at the University of Exeter on the UKRI-funded MEMBRA project, David has experience in translating complex research into practical training and capacity-building initiatives. His work bridges the gap between academia, nonprofits, and financial institutions, helping organizations thrive while staying true to their mission. At IFOMN, David combines these skills to empower Muslim nonprofits through innovative Shariah-compliant banking solutions and advocacy.
